I took too long to sit down and write this out so I know I'm going to miss something, but I wanted to write out Nixon's birth story before I forget all of it. I just remember starting contractions the night before...by 2 or 3 AM they were bad enough that I couldn't sleep...I knew this was it, but of course all I could think was, just make it until 7AM so we can take the kids to daycare and drop them off and not have to call and wake up any of our friends in the middle of the night and make them deal with the kids in the morning. I barely made it. We were literally at the school and the contractions were so uncomfortable I was just closing my eyes and breathing! But we made it! And I was already dilated to a 6 so they got us admitted and we waited...but not for long! By 11:18 she was here. 8lbs 5oz of pure sweetness. Peace, quiet and joy. She was everything we didn't know we needed and I'm so thankful that God knew we needed this special gift. She completed our family and she adds joy each and every day. We are ready to take on the world as a party of 5!
