Surprise Surprise!

We've been keeping a little secret over here for a while. No real intention behind it, just getting accustomed to the idea ourselves, so sharing it with the world seemed a little much at the time. It's a long personal story, but the fact is - we make our plans and the Lord determines our steps.  We have always talked about the possibility of 3, but if I'm being honest if it were up to us it may have never happened! Haha...so I'm excited and looking forward to taking on the world with my 3 precious gifts! I see lots of fun adventures in our future and we just can't wait to meet this sweet baby girl face to face and have her join our family!  Watching Kai and Laiken together is one of the world's greatest gifts and it brings so much joy to see them play and giggle and hug and kiss each other!  Siblings are a built in support system and my prayer is that we as the parents don't mess it up! LOL!!! In other words, I know we won't always get it right, we'll make mistakes along the way, but my prayer is that these 3 grow up loving and caring for each other and being each other's best friends and biggest fans despite us and our mistakes! God is good.

I was scrolling through my instagram feed late last night.  You know...when you go back like 3 years!! Hahaha...anyway! It was such a joy to look back and see photos of Kai as a newborn or chubby 1 year old and sweet newborn Laiken! AGH! It gave me all the feels and also reminded me to take more dang photos!  You don't want to be annoying on social media so posting a picture here or there is great, but when it comes to documenting my kiddos growing?! I need MORE! More photos, more time, more intentionality! Hopefully I can post more here! Because let's be honest...these two are TOO dang cute!

Preserving the simplest of memories

Friday, December 1, 2017

Not posting these because they're great photos by any means. Posting them so they don't get lost. Unfortunately i don't get my camera out nearly as much as I should - and when I do I almost always neglect the photos that I actually took of the kiddos.  Then when I look back I'm so sad about it! I want to preserve these memories! I don't want them lost on my hard drive! So here are a few photos from over the Holidays.  Just lounging at home, going to see Santa, playing under the Christmas tree. These are the times. In just a few short months they've already changed so much! Wishing for time to slow down and asking God for the grace to remember to take it all in!
