There are SOOOoooo many more photos where this came from! But it's all I can access at the moment from my laptop! Grammy & Grandpa (my parents) bought a lake house last year and it's already their grandkids' favorite place in the whole wide world. We already have some of the best memories and are looking forward to many many more at this special place!

Kai's favorite things include, throwing rocks, swinging, playing in the sandbox, fishing with his "pishin' pole", riding in the "Mooootorboat", riding the "mooootorbike", and sleeping with Grammy and Grandpa at night!

Sometimes you pull out the nice camera to take pictures of an ordinary day...and you love those photos. You love that they are real. You love that they are unposed and just capturing every day life and you know that you're gonna look back in 12 years when you have teenagers and say "oh, remember when?" So you take those photos and you love them, but what do you do with them? They go on a hard drive to die basically. LOL! So now they are here. Forever saved on my blog so I can bring the kids back here and show them their adorable little hineys during bathtime together. I'm sure they'll be mortified at the thought of sharing the bath! But ooooooh how sweet will the memories be! <3

Fashion & Lifestyle Blogging

You've seen it all over your Facebook and Instagram newsfeeds. Fashion bloggers this, Lifestyle bloggers that...make money taking pictures of yourself! If you're cool enough you can make it big! HAHAHA! I mean basically! I spend literally probably hours of my day following along with fashion and lifestyle bloggers to see what they're wearing, what their kids are wearing, what workout they're doing, what vacation they are taking, etc, etc. It's invigorating and exhausting all at the same time. I sit there and scroll and scroll and scroll and for that time I'm taken to another world. I've living vicariously through someone who's prettier than me. Richer than me. A better mom than me... and I sit there thinking, well "If only..." I could do that too. But let's be honest. Until you put in the hard work. Until you sit down to design a website, write blog posts, try on clothes and develop a style, or start working out on your own. Without putting in the hard work yourself it just isn't gonna happen. And I guess all that is to say that I don't want to be a fashion and lifestyle blogger. I just want to be a better version of myself. I want to spend more time actually doing things. Actually documenting the time I spend with my babies, or planning my own vacations instead of wasting my time oohing and ahhing over their's! I want to devote myself to something that is actually going to better my kids, my husband and myself just by being more present in my own life! So that's where this little blog is coming in. I almost cry every time I go back and read a post that I wrote over a year ago and see the photos of my family. See how life has changed and y'all it's so beautiful! I LOVE having this place to come and relive past experiences! I want to make more of an effort to capture and share the daily things that make up the life of "everyday Casey!" So cheers to that! Cheers to being disciplined to keep up with it. But also cheers to the freedom to let this be WHATEVER it becomes organically.
